Position Title: Surgical Tech Location: Holmdel, NJ Job Type: Contract | Local or Travel Shift: Days 8*5 Duration: 9-Week Assignment Pay Rate: $55 to $65/hr Weekly Pay: $2,062.50 to $2,437.50/week Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Surgical Tech for an exciting Travel or Local job in Holmdel, NJ. Responsibilities: Prepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment for procedures, following surgeon preferences and standard protocols. Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, instruments, and administer and label medications according to policy. Handle and process specimens in compliance with O.R. policies and procedures. Control contamination through proper decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and sanitation of instruments and equipment. Remove used equipment and safely dispose of contaminated needles and syringes. Participate in team conferences to plan and evaluate patient care, assisting the circulator in revising the plan as needed. Maintain proficiency by completing skills checklists and participating in rotations through specialty areas. Identify and accommodate patient-specific needs, including age, cultural, and accessibility considerations. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training. Professional certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) - preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician. Prior Endoscopy experience required, including Bronchoscopy, ERCP, EUS, and scope processing. Knowledge of sterilization, decontamination, and infection control procedures. Ability to maintain accurate counts and handle surgical instruments efficiently. Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with a surgical team. Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
