Under limited supervision, performs an array of semi-skilled functions that support the maintenance of the facility and its warehouse equipment; and performs related duties as assigned.Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacementPerforms preventative building maintenance duties, including light constructionPerforms routine plumbing repairs, such as; unstoppping toilets, sinks, or urinals, fixing water leaks and leaking faucetsPerforms routine electrical repairs, such as; changing light bulbs or fluorescent lampsAssembles and moves furniture, hangs pictures and bulletin boards, and moves and sets up tables and chairsRepairs and replaces doorknobs or locks, repairs door closures, and patches holes in wallsPaints interior and exterior of buildingAbility to drive all equipment and knowledge of hydraulics.Maintains conveyors (oiling chains and adjusting settings)Skills and Conditions of Employment:Maintenance Technicians are required to interact with managers, supervisors, employees, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:Prefer 1-year previous experience in Industrial MaintenanceKnowledge of building maintenance and repairKnowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repairKnowledge of occupational hazards and safetySkilled in reading and following assembly directionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsSkilled in using hand and power toolsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and leadershipAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to work the 1st shift work schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 3:00PM CT.
