Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Registration Processor to join our team in Syracuse, New York. As part of the healthcare industry, this role requires accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to patients and staff. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to an essential function within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Accurately input and scan patient information into the system to ensure records are precise and complete. u2022 Manage patient registration processes, ensuring all necessary data and documentation are collected and verified. u2022 Apply medical coding standards, such as ORG-10, to determine and confirm medical necessity. u2022 Maintain and organize requisition records in compliance with organizational policies. u2022 Assist with other administrative tasks and duties as required to support the department. u2022 Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and healthcare staff to address inquiries and resolve issues. u2022 Utilize computer systems and applications for patient registration, billing, and order entry. u2022 Adapt to high-volume workloads and navigate a dynamic work environment efficiently. u2022 Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards in all activities. u2022 Uphold a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks performed. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent is required. u2022 Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare administrative role is preferred. u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interactions. u2022 Proficiency in computer applications, including patient registration and billing systems. u2022 Ability to provide exceptional customer service while managing workload changes. u2022 Familiarity with medical and diagnostic terminology is advantageous. u2022 High level of attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. u2022 Comfortable working in an office environment with extended periods of computer use.
