Summary of the Position:The maintenance technician II independently repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various food processing equipment, systems and related machinery panels, excluding maintenance and repair of related pipe and tube media delivery systems. The person in this position independently completes changeovers on a large number of lines. Functions of the Position:Troubleshoots, repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various food processing equipment, systems and related machinery panels independently.Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work.Works in fabricating as needed, excluding fabrication activities related to pipe and tube media delivery systems.Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as needed.Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements. Aware and accountable in maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality. Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management. Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas. Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.Responsible to comply with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety. Responsible to support safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.Education, Experience, and Knowledge:High school diploma or equivalent requiredFive plus years of experience in repair, maintenance and troubleshootingAdvanced knowledge of electrical components and wiring Skills and Competencies:Advanced mechanical skillsAdvanced troubleshooting skills Job Specific Requirements:This position is subject to mandatory overtime based on business needs. In the event that the maintenance technician II is absent, the department manager is responsible for providing an equally qualified person to cover this position.
