If you're as passionate about your future as we are, join our team.KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Tax Research and Planning to join our Firm Tax team.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough tax research and analysis related to the preparation of individual federal and state tax returns and partnership schedule K-1s to support Partner Tax Services and Partner Tax Matters group in the preparation of federal and state tax returnsProactively monitor federal and state legislative developments; Model the potential impact of proposed tax changes and identify strategic tax-savings opportunities for the firm and its partnersDocument tax research positions and collaborate with firm experts on various federal and state issues to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlinesEffectively communicate tax technical positions to members of cross-functional groups within Firm TaxesRespond to inquiries from tax authorities to effectively and efficiently resolve tax issuesAct with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentQualifications:Minimum seven years of recent federal and state individual tax experience with in-depth knowledge of partnership federal and state schedule K-1sBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or finance is required; master's degree from an accredited college or university is tax or accounting is preferred: enrolled Agent or CPA preferredHigh net worth individual tax experience preferredProficient in tax research software such as Westlaw, Bloomberg and CCHComputer proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Word required; Microsoft Excel skills include creating spreadsheets, using shortcuts, formula functions, sorting/filtering data, and analyzing data; PowerPoint skills include creating charts, layouts and analysis to support tax planning opportunitiesDetailed-oriented and collaborative-minded professional with a proactive approach to problem-solvingApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (
