About the Role Asan AssociateAcquisitions Editor,you'llresearch healthcare markets, cultivating relationships with experts, working with key leaders to build and refine healthcare content portfolios, and ensuring comprehensive coverage from education to practice for future healthcare professionals.You'llprepare a detailed annual strategic plan-researching new and emerging content needs, developing big-picture product overviews with detailed specific coverage and features, and executing on thelogisticsnecessary to bringthatstrategyfrom concept to market.You will workclosely withvarious internal stakeholders, includingContent Development, Global Production, Marketing, and Sales,to achieve strategicobjectiveson timeandonbudget.ResponsibilitiesCollaboratewithContent leadershipandotherstakeholders to develop, manage, and execute customer-focused content strategies for specified portfolios/markets.Gain in-depth understanding of user issues, trends, needs,and preferences through regular market research. Additionally,maintainknowledge of competitors’content and productofferings, staying abreast of technology changesaffectingcontent usage.Develop a network of contacts,identifyingpotential authorsand subject matter experts andcreatingsuccession plans for business continuity.Research, propose, and plan market-focused content to ensure business growth, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the publishing process to deliver products to market on time and on budgetLeverage existing content and platforms to generateinnovative process and product ideas, emphasizing market-focused, cost-effective contentdeliveryand monetizable innovation.Manage products foroptimalinvestment and profitability,building realisticbudgetsand monitoring performance through publication.Monitor portfolio performance, troubleshooting withstakeholders for improved profitability, ensuring adherenceto deadlines and scope, andsupportingpromotionaland salesefforts.Attend conferencesand author/editor meetings, with a willingness to travel up to 10%.RequirementsPlease submit a cover letter describing your interest and fit for this positionPossesseducationin Communications, English,Education,or related field, coupled withan understanding of the publishing process.Demonstrateproficiency withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)andability tolearn new systems and software quickly.Have theabilitytoprioritize multiple projects in various stages of completion, with excellent organizational skills.Be able toproactivelydriveproject success and foster team collaboration.Havesuperbwrittenand oral communication skills.Demonstratestrategicthinking, witha big-picture focusandability to dig into details as needed.Be aself-starter who is comfortable working independently and within a team. U.S. National Base Pay Range $52,800 - $88,000. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
