Position: Associate Project Manager - Commercial Electrical ConstructionLocation: Palm City, FLSalary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year (Based on experience)Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial electrical construction projects. In this role, you will assist senior project managers in coordinating all aspects of construction—from pre-construction through close-out—ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and proven experience supporting construction operations, with the ability to facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Accurately estimate and process change orders. Track and manage RFIs, submittals, and project close-out documentation. Assist in scheduling, procurement, and coordination of vendors/subcontractors. Ensure timely material releases and deliveries. Collaborate with the project manager to maintain project documentation, timelines, and budget compliance. Required Experience 3-5 years of experience in electrical construction (commercial focus). Direct experience supporting projects between $250K and $10M. Technical Skills & Knowledge Solid understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC). Familiarity with switchgear, lighting, generators, and basic low-voltage systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with estimating software such as ConEst is preferred. Familiarity with Accubid or similar estimating tools. Experience with Procore is a plus, but not required.
