JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience with preparing journal entries, support documentation, analyzing and reconciling GL Accounts. The intern will receive exposure and experience using our SAP (ERP) system and will be exposed to our financial close processes and internal and external audit requirements. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with Preparation of journal entries and maintenance of proper supporting documentationsAssist the accounting team with the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closingsAssist with bank and other balance sheet reconciliation process Assist with internal and external audit requirements Assist with preparation of government surveys and annual reports Assist with ordering of deposit slips for stores Ad hoc analysis and special projects as required REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION:Pursuing an Accounting/Finance or Business degree EXPERIENCE:Previous experience in Accounting or Finance SKILLS:Proficiency with excel a must Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills neededPlanning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneouslyAbility to manage deadlinesPHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to travel to and work from our Toronto Office following a hybrid schedule Must be able to work up to 28 hours per week BENEFITS INCLUDE:Competitive compensationSchool credits offeredA warm, open and friendly working environmentGenerous employee discounts All Applicants:
