Job DescriptionAECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering III, Bloomfield, NJ.Job details:Develop engineering deliverables including:Engineering reportsDesign drawingsTechnical specificationsOther detailed engineering deliverablesConduct engineering process condition assessments and process evaluationsPerform system and data analysisAnalyze and interpret trends or data in relation to project objectivesConfirm and/or develop basis for evaluationDevelop engineer’s opinion of probable cost, including equipment quotations and vendor coordinationGenerate engineering reports as client deliverables with conclusions and recommendationsRecommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performanceTranslate complex technical data into easy-to-understand summaries for diverse stakeholders (technical and non-technical)Facilitate project meetings with clients and/or project teamsDevelop and review project schedulesDevelop project budgets and maintain routine estimate-to-complete (ETC) / estimate-at-complete (EAC) metricsPrepare proposal documentsAdvise junior-level engineering staffDelegate work assignments from Senior Management to junior staff, breaking milestone deliverables into actionable tasks suitable for skillset and abilityProvide detailed review of assigned tasks, offering examples and guidance to ensure timely and compliant project deliverablesStay current with regulatory and funding landscapes, including submission of funding applications and supporting documentationOrganize and maintain project documents and records for reproducibility and clear revision historyProvide Bid Phase and Construction Services:Coordinate bid document distributionFacilitate pre-bid meetingsDevelop addenda and respond to questionsPrepare contract documentsProvide inspection and oversight of system construction to ensure compliance with design specifications and drawingsReview and comment on equipment and/or material submittals from construction contractorsAdvise the client on scope, out-of-scope work, and the need for change orders as work progressesMay work at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.Up to 20% domestic travel required to customer construction sites within the eastern U.S. (e.g., New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and other eastern seaboard states)QualificationsCandidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Wastewater Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Civil Engineering related occupation.Position requires experience in the following:Designing water and sewer infrastructureDesigning sewer collection systems using NASSCO standardsLead Engineer for Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) projectsConducting hydraulic calculations for water and wastewater process designTechnical report writingData evaluationConcept and design-level CAD draftingPreparation of permit and funding applicationsPreparation of cost estimates and contract documentsConstruction supervisionAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
