Paramedic Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Paramedic to join our Emergency Medical Services team. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department: CMH Emergency Medical Services provides ambulance services to three counties in southwest Missouri: Polk, Hickory, and St. Clair. Services include 9-1-1 emergency response and non-emergency medical transport. Ambulances are equipped with advanced medical life support for adult and pediatric patients. CMH Pre-Hospital Services is certified as pediatric-ready by Missouri EMS for Children. CMH is recognized as a high-quality care provider for time-critical diagnosis of trauma, heart attack, stroke and sepsis. Ambulances are staffed by EMTs and paramedics who are licensed and certified to provide exceptional and compassionate care. A typical day includes: Responding to emergency calls to provide treatment and care to patients of all ages. Preparing and maintaining ambulances, equipment, and inventory of supplies Assessing and determining scene safety, and/or utilizing community/organizational resources to assure scene safety Initiating advanced life support and making an accurate initial assessment of patients' conditions Transporting patients, utilizing other methods of transportation, or relinquishing patient care as per state guidelines and / or medical control Documenting a complete assessment on each patient examined, using understandable language and / or organization-approved abbreviations Job Requirements: Education: Completion of an approved EMT-P training course Experience: N/A Skills: Ability to remain calm and exhibit a professional composure during high-stress and crisis situations, medical terminology Licensure/Certification: Active Missouri EMT-P license certification and a current Class E Missouri driver's license Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, lifting more than 100 pounds with and without assistance The position is: Full-time, nights, 7pm-7am Benefits include: Competitive wage Annual merit increase No-cost health insurance option for employee Full suite of insurance benefits available for employee and family Early access to pay with on-demand PayActiv Employee assistance program Paid time off Increased matched savings to Retirement Plan Employee discounts Connect with us!
