This role ensures efficient production of high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. **Key Responsibilities** + Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining operations using CAD/CAM software. + Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements. + Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to optimize cycle times and maintain quality standards. + Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues and improve processes. + Perform program simulations and verify tool paths to prevent errors and reduce scrap. + Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and revisions. + Ensure compliance with safety standards and company quality procedures. + Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. + Support Lean Manufacturing by understanding, analyzing, and streamlining machining process. **Qualifications** + Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming, machining, or related field preferred **Experience:** + Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment. + Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Solidworks or similar). + Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations. + Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T. + Knowledge of materials (metals, composites) and machining processes. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Experience cutting multiple materials, (Titanium, Stainless, Inconel, Plastics) **Preferred Skills** + Experience with multi-axis machining and advanced programming techniques. + Familiarity with ERP systems and shop floor data collection. + Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience. **Physical Requirements** + Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. + Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery. #DGO Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
