Position Information Vacancy Number: F-00245 Position Title: Sociology Adjunct Instructor Pool Classification Title: Faculty Department: Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work Employment Type: Part-Time Special Instructions to Applicant: The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work at Auburn University at Montgomery is seeking adjunct instructors in Sociology capable of teaching introductory courses in sociology. Upper-level sociology courses may be available, depending on candidate’s experience and research areas. A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Sociology is preferred; minimum of 18 graduate hours in Sociology is required. Previous teaching experience preferred. At this time, available positions are for in-classroom courses only but candidates must also be capable of teaching online if needed. All instructors are expected to be competent teachers who cover the essential content and fulfill the learning objectives of the courses they teach, are responsive to changing professional needs, are committed to innovative delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning, and show a commitment to effective use of technology.
