Job Description

Job Title: Technician Job Description The role involves managing laboratory operations while working directly with engineering teams on the assembly, integration, and testing of optical inter-satellite link systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in opto-mechanical systems and the ability to develop and document technical procedures. Responsibilities + Perform assembly, integration (including fiber splicing), and testing of optical communication systems. + Work closely with engineering teams to support product development and testing. + Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures. + Build and test first article units. + Support laboratory operations and maintain test equipment. + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers. + Execute test procedures and record results with high attention to detail. + Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution. Essential Skills + Experience in opto-mechanical systems. + Proficiency in creating technical documentation and procedures. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. + 2+ years of experience in optical systems or related technical field. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's degree in Electronics, Photonics, or related technical field. + Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (preferred). + Experience with optical communication systems. + Knowledge of clean room protocols. + Familiarity with laser safety procedures. + Experience with precision alignment of optical components. + Experience in aerospace or satellite communications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of REDMOND, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
