For more information, visit Job Summary Chartwells at Clarkson Community Schools District located in Clarkston, MI We are seeking a Director of Dining Services to lead our food service program across 11 schools (12 sites including Early Childhood) , serving 6,400 students with excellence and creativity. This role oversees a talented team including an Assistant Director , Executive Chef , Administrative Assistant , and up to 60 frontline associates . Youu2019ll manage P&L performance , ensure compliance with NSLP guidelines , and design innovative menus that drive student participation. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of Chartwells frontline associates. u2022 Drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability. u2022 Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization. u2022 Own the annual budget and control costs optimally. u2022 Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards. u2022 Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates. u2022 Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Minimum of an Bachelor's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Culinary/Nutrition necessary or equivalent experience. u2022 Five plus years of foodservice management experience, prefers K12. u2022 Strong knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred. u2022 Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience. u2022 Exceptional leadership and communication skills. u2022 Proficiency in computer skills.
