In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, the oncology pharmacy specialist will: actively participate in committees and /or workgroups; collaborate in the review of new and existing medications, clinical practice guidelines and other related policies used in the management of the clinic-specific medical conditions. This person also conducts clinical research and practice advancement projects as well as patient care quality and regulatory compliance initiatives designed to improve medication-use processes or pharmacy practice. Education: PharmD degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy or, licensed Pharmacists prior to 2002 with Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Experience: PGY1 pharmacy training or three years equivalent experience. PGY 2 Preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current unrestricted pharmacist license from Connecticut Board of Pharmacy or eligibility within 45 days.
