This is an in-person position.u00a0This positon has PRN and Full Time openings. u00a0 Key Responsibilities: + Performs age-appropriate mental health history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients. + Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patientu2019s specific needs + Responds to psychiatric emergenciesu00a0 + Develops a collaborative,individualized treatment plan that may include medications, non-pharmacologic treatments, collaboration/referral to specialty providers or other interventions aimed to improve health status + Communication with patients, their support persons, pharmacies and other healthcare providers in a manner that facilitates optimal care of the patient. This may include, but not limited to, ensuring prescriptions are filled and refilled as appropriate, communication or lab results and coordinating care with outside providers.u00a0 + In case of an emergency, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner shall refer a person served/client to an emergency room for medical emergencies. + Nurse practitioners may participate in utilization review activities as needed to ensure patients are able to access necessary care + The Nurse Practitioner will fulfill all duties in compliance with Pioneer Rural Health procedures includingu00a0 42 CFR, Part 2 (privacy regulations). + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. + Ability to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities. + The Nurse Practitioner will participate in 24/7 call for emergency, evening or weekend coverage + Complete peer to peer reviews as necessary with payor sourcesu00a0 + Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional working relationship with Pioneer Rural Healthu2019s staff and consumers alike. + This is a HYBRID positions with some in person and some via telehealth. u00a0 Key Experience and Education Needed: + APRN + NP License in the state of KY; hold DEAu00a0 + 2 year of inpatient acute psychiatric experience minimum + Experience with Involuntary Holds (Mental Inquest Warrant) preferred u00a0 Other Qualifications to be Considered: + Kentucky Medicaid enrollment. + Experience with primary care psychiatry or consultation-liaison psychiatry. + DATA 2000 waiver. u00a0 ARC full-time employees enjoy very attractive benefits packages for employees and their families to include health, dental, vision, life insurance, a wide array of ancillary insurance products for lifeu2019s needs, 401(k) plan with company matching and to ensure the work-life balance - generous paid vacation, sick, holiday and maternity/paternity leave policies.
