Description Hourly Pay Range: $31.00- $35.00 Shift: Monday-Friday Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a designated licensed physical therapist. Documents treatment sessions in accordance with policies and procedures of the department and regulatory bodies. Supervision of a Physical Therapist Assistant by a licensed physical therapist shall be continuous but not necessarily on site, in accordance with NYS Department of Education and other regulatory bodies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: u2022 Provides direct physical therapy services, documents treatments, and submits proper billing codes.u2022 Implements treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Communicates with supervising Physical Therapist regarding any noted change in patient status, as well as patientu2019s response to the treatment plan.u2022 Maintains productivity expectations set by rehab leadership team.u2022 Makes recommendations for the purchase of specialized equipment, materials, and wheelchair modifications.u2022 As a member of the interdisciplinary team, participates in professional meetings as assigned to integrate services with other providers.u2022 Lends counsel and education to patients and their family members/care givers (if applicable) regarding the patientu2019s physical therapy services.u2022 Functions as a clinical instructor for PTA students. (after a minimum of 1 year's work experience).u2022 Maintains clinical competency by maintaining CEU requirements for NYS licensure.u2022 Maintains 90% compliance on Chart Audits.
