Deliver direct O&M instruction as outlined in students' IEPs or 504 plans. Provide training and guidance in independent travel skills for students with visual impairments. Travel between assigned school sites to deliver services as scheduled. Complete and maintain required documentation, including IEPs, Student Intervention Records (SIR), progress reports, and annual summaries via the district's Frontline (IEP Direct) system. Track and report student attendance and progress according to district requirements. Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and evaluations. Ensure compliance with NYSED Part 200 Regulations and district data-sharing policies. Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orientation and Mobility or related field. ACVREP Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) or equivalent NYSED credential. Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired, preferably in a school setting. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between school sites.
