This role may have some oversight responsibilities on a semi-regular basis including creating daily assignments, communicating real-time engagement metrics and planning distribution with internal partners. This role requires a strong knowledge of digital media content creation via non-linear editing software. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to recognize high-level engagement opportunities to further ESPN’s industry-leading video offerings. Additionally, the Digital Video Associate Producer II will be asked to semi-regularly represent the Digital Video team during planning meetings with both domestic and global editorial teams. Must be fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal.Responsibilities:Become a subject matter expert on all ESPN Digital platforms (, ESPN App, YouTube) and apply that expertise to expand reach, engagement, and distribution of content.Create the daily assignments for a team of content producersAct as the main point of contact for all daily production within the Digital Video newsroomParticipate with internal teams domestically and globally on the creation and distribution of content that best activates new audiencesIdeate and execute new video content ideas designed to engage and retain ESPN’s on-platform and YouTube audienceAnalyze usage and performance metrics that can lead to content enhancements and improvements.Effectively manage production timelines to ensure projects are executed on timeMaintain proficiency and knowledge in latest trends, technology and best practices for digital video content on ESPN platforms including YouTubeRequirements:Minimum 1-3 years of combined media experience with a focus on digital mediaAdvanced non-linear editing skills (Quantel, Final Cut, Avid, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)Understand and follow closely the latest in social media trends.Excellent headline writing skills in Spanish; an understanding of optimal tactics for content distributionStrong understanding of core characteristics of “viral” contentAbility to work quickly and juggle multiple varied tasks during a typical work dayDeep knowledge of soccer competitions; UEFA (top 5 European leagues especially LaLiga), Concacaf (especially LigaMX), MLS, FIFA and ConmebolGood knowledge of MLB, NBA, and NFL, with the ability of producing original content around these leaguesPreferred Requirements:Minimum of 1-3 years of practical Digital/Social Production or related experienceExperience in editing content, specific to the needs and specs for multiple social media platformsExperience working in a mobile-first content environmentExperience working with a variety of digital content management systemsStrong presentation skillsEducation:A High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Education:College Degree in a media-related fieldAdditional Information:ESPN is an equal opportunity employer - Female/Minority/Veteran/Disability.
