Base pay range $50,000.00/hr - $60,000.00/hr We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Copy Editor to join the Healio News Group and ensure the highest-quality news content is delivered to our physician audience. Responsibilities edit, proofread and fact-check articles and their components, including social media assets and infographics; edit, proofread and fact-check page proofs; perform deep edits on articles, rework the phrasing or structure of a story when necessary, and leave suggested changes or feedback when appropriate; ensure articles are written in the author’s own words and look for plagiarism and AI‑generated content; review articles for balance; adhere to AP, AMA and in-house style guides; and make sure articles are formatted and styled correctly. Qualifications a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or Journalism; 3 to 5 years of editing experience; and strong communication and time management skills. The annual base salary for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. Placement within this range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, education, years and level of experience, and equity with internal team members.
