Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing billing and payment processes to ensure the smooth operation of our medical accounts. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage medical billing activities to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. u2022 Handle accounts receivable tasks, including tracking outstanding balances and following up on overdue payments. u2022 Post payments accurately into the system and reconcile any discrepancies. u2022 Conduct collection activities to recover unpaid balances while maintaining strong client relationships. u2022 Monitor cash application processes to ensure proper allocation of funds. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues efficiently. u2022 Generate detailed financial reports related to accounts receivable and collections. u2022 Stay updated on billing procedures and compliance with industry standards. u2022 Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions and communications. u2022 Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding billing and payment inquiries. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in medical accounts receivable, including billing and payment processing. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and cash applications. u2022 Familiarity with commercial collections and best practices in managing overdue accounts. u2022 Proficiency in handling billing systems and financial software. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing client interactions. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Previous experience with specific medical billing systems is a plus.
