Description We are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in Flint, Michigan. This role involves providing essential legal support, including document management, legal research, and drafting legal documents. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to work on meaningful legal matters in an environment that values attention to detail. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the collection, review, and organization of documents for Michigan Freedom of Information Act requests, subpoenas, litigation discovery, and other legal inquiries. u2022 Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues to support case preparation. u2022 Draft, edit, and prepare a variety of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings. u2022 Utilize case management software to maintain accurate case records and streamline workflows. u2022 Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and organize necessary information. u2022 Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements during document production. u2022 Support the litigation process by assisting with trial preparation and other essential administrative tasks. Requirements u2022 Proven experience with discovery processes, including document review and production. u2022 Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and practices. u2022 Demonstrated ability to prepare for trials, including organizing evidence and documentation. u2022 Proficiency in using case management software to manage legal files and data. u2022 Excellent legal research skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex legal issues. u2022 Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. u2022 Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with attorneys and other team members.
