Job Summary The IDCS Quality Control Technician performs detailed quality checks throughout the build process, ensuring configurations meet customer expectations by reviewing documentation and performing hardware inventory checks. This role involves capturing and documenting images for internal review, confirming cable labeling and routing standards, conducting power redundancy tests, and addressing any discrepancies to maintain high-quality standards. Role Description u2022 Perform build specific quality checks throughout build process following the Internal Quality Control Checklist over the course of multiple quality checks u2022 Review customer Integration Documentation and decipher configuration specifics, such as rack elevation, port/slot layout and connectivity, confirming the devices and physical rack layout meet customer expectations u2022 Capture images and thoroughly document racks for internal review at multiple times during the build by following the IDCS process and a project specific photo template, ensuring all relevant information is visible in each photo and packet is complete and approved by management before rack ships to customer u2022 Review hardware inventory logs captured from all racked devices to confirm that all custom configuration specifics, such as BIOS checks, MAC captures, DHCP configuration, and array controller configuration settings meet customer expectations u2022 Confirm that every label on every cable matches the customer labeling configuration specifics, including font, spacing and naming conventions u2022 Confirm all cable routing is neat and follows customer standards and/or industry standards u2022 Document and fix any discrepancies, and/or relay them to the build team for remediation u2022 Perform power redundancy failover test u2022 Confirm that all data captured for purposes of asset inventory records, plus all required logical data is in the template and format that the customer requests Behaviors and Competencies Detail Oriented: Can demonstrate an ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned. The estimated annual pay range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
