Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Accounting Manager role for a growing Reno based company. This position will manage processes and be responsible for the development and roll-out of new procedures at this start up, working closely with other teams within the organization. Responsibilities will include: u2022 Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes and prepare timely financial reports. u2022 Work with external vendors to manage commission income on third party sales, ensuring accuracy of this revenue stream. u2022 Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. u2022 Develop SOPu2019s and WIu2019s for the Accounting group. u2022 Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance leadership. u2022 Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Manage and optimize ERP systems and accounting software; implement improvements where needed. u2022 Support a variety of projects including processes & workflows, i.e.: o Develop and implement procedures for accurate Commission expense accrual and payment to 1099 and W2 reps. o Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate inventory valuation and controls. Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). u2022 7+ years of accounting experience u2022 Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks). u2022 Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of financial reporting. u2022 Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
