Registered Veterinary Technician Wanted: VCA Eye Clinic for Animals San Diego, CA + Schedule: 4 x 10 hr Shifts Monday through Friday + No Overnight Shifts or Weekends + Compensation : $25 to $31/ hr, depending on your experience and years in the industry ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Venipuncture, Catheter placement u2022 Anesthesia induction and monitoring u2022 Assist with physical examinations and patient assessment u2022 Surgical preparation and assisting u2022 Patient Recovery and animal husbandry u2022 Maintaining medical records u2022 Laboratory work u2022 Laboratory work u2022 Pharmacy u2022 Patient recovery u2022 Compassionate care for hospitalized patients QUALIFICATIONS: u2022 Must have documented previous experience, Ophthalmology experience preferred u2022 Hold a current RVT license u2022 Must have surgery experience u2022 Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings and weekends u2022 Customer service skills u2022 Working knowledge of computers u2022 Excellent communications skills u2022 Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant u2022 Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments BENEFITS: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including, medical/dental/vision and paid vacation (for F/T employees only), 401(k), generous personal pet care discounts and more Range + Up to 75% Employee pet discount + Hospital Mental Health and Wellness Program + Free CE Opportunity and $750/ year for dues and additional CE If you are a current associate, you will need to apply through our internal career site.
