JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) Business Analyticsand Artificial Intelligence, Fall 2026 Posting Number: 201104598Employment Status: Full Time Job Family: Faculty Position OverviewCandidates should have a strong interest in teaching courses, preferablyin Business Analytics and Artificial intelligence. The candidate shoulddemonstrate skills in more current areas such as advanced analytics,programming languages in Python, emerging and disruptive technologiessuch as Blockchain and generative artificial intelligence. The standardteaching load is 3-2. The new faculty member will also be involved indesign and support of any new undergraduate programs related to BUAN andAIBU as well as graduate programs such as the MBA and certificates. Mostcritically, candidates with a strong publication record/potential areparticularly desirable. The Business Analytics (BUAN ) area delivers ahighly applied and experiential undergraduate major, and a relatedminor, that prepares students for roles that are in high demand.Students benefit greatly from our deep industry relationships. Thecollege is looking to identify a strong and dynamic candidate who canwork with existing BUAN and INSY faculty to continue to innovate in andgrow the area. BUAN also offers courses at the graduate level, includingthe MBA and the Executive MBA . Duties and Responsibilities Teach in thegraduate and undergraduate Business Analytics programs Conduct highquality research Interface with students for advising and mentoringInterface with Industry to promote and support the program Contribute tothe College and University through meaningful service engagementsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Earned doctorate or a terminaldegree. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high qualityresearch. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Applicants shouldhold a Ph.D. or be close to completing one in Business analytics orArtificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline. Teachingexperience in the relevant area at the university level or professionaltraining experience strongly preferred.
