It's a job that makes a difference.POSITION SUMMARYThe Manager of Pricing and Estimating manages pricing strategies andcost estimates for manufacturing projects across government andcommercial sectors, working hands-on with production, purchasing, andinventory teams to develop accurate bids and ensure timely,cost-effective execution.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE- Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.- Research market rates, vendor quotes, and historical data to support accurate pricing.- Prepare proposals and bid packages for customer review.- Collaborate with production, procurement, and scheduling teams to gather data and validate estimates.- Work with the Product and Project Manager to accurately reflect Envisions operational processes and production expenses as detailed in the Build of Materials (BOMs).- Ensure pricing aligns with approved customer agreements and project scope.- Maintain technical records and documentation for estimating and pricing activities.- Use software tools to generate reports, charts, and data visualizations.- Support vendor quote analysis and ongoing supplier relationship management.- Other special projects that support the profitability of the organization through the development, implementation, and maintenance of Envisions estimating and pricing program.- Travel: 1015% if residing in Texas; approximately 50% if based in Wichita, KS.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESTotal Number of Employees Directly Supervising: 3Number of Subordinate Supervisors Reporting to Position: 0VISION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDECan be performed with or without assistive technology:_X_ Required to perform activities such as: preparing/analyzingdata/figures; viewing a computer screen; reading; inspecting smallobjects for defects; using measuring devices; and/or assembling partswith close eye contact.___ Required to perform activities such as: operating machineryand/or power tools at or within arms reach; performing non-repetitivetasks such as carpentry work or repairing machinery.___ Required to review/inspect own assigned work, the work of others,or facilities or structures.Requires normal (or corrected to normal) vision/acuity:___ Required to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment such asforklifts.To improve the quality of life and provide inspiration and opportunityfor people who are blind or visually impaired through employment,outreach, rehabilitation, education and research.
