The incumbent answers multi-line phones; obtains and documents patient information; coordinates paperwork, insurance referrals/authorizations and arranges for interpreter services when needed.ResponsibilitiesAssists in operations of assigned department to include, quality assurance, process improvement, data management and customer serviceSchedules patients for clinical services for all modalities for assigned areaObtains necessary information for the determination of appropriate procedure(s)/appointmentAnswers multi-line phone system, responding to caller, physician or patientCancels and reschedules exams/appointments, in coordination with the reception/registration personnel and technical staff, as directedCoordinates insurance referral and authorization informationCoordinates interpreter services for patient appointments at MHS and patient visits via phoneRequirementsPost high school clerical vocational training or college course work preferredMedical Terminology certification preferredExperience in a medical setting preferredOne year of experience working with an electronic medical records system such as EPIC or CernerIf position is located in Imaging, prior imaging/scheduling experience and knowledge of any type of Radiology Information Systems such as McKesson or Philips I-site is preferredOur ValuesAs a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness and Joy.
