They maintain equipment to ensure it operates safely and effectively. Their duties include preparing machinery for daily use, inspecting machinery for safety issues, and producing quality full track panels, turnouts and crossings, as well as build other rail components to customer specifications. Education / Training: u2022 HS diploma or equivalent; u2022 CNC multi-axis training and experience preferred. Job Title: Production Machine Operator City: Cleveland Key Job Elements: u2022 Read/interpret drawings/part specifications and verify/adjust speeds and feeds for optimum machining; u2022 Make necessary offset changes to be within allowable tolerances; u2022 Change inserts; u2022 Verify conformance of part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as, scales, calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges; Fill out inspection reports as required; u2022 Clean machined parts to ensure ready for assembly; u2022 Report all issues in regard to tooling and setup to the supervisor; u2022 Keep a clean, organized and safe workplace; u2022 To be punctual, and act in accordance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 3 to 12 months CNC multi-axis machine operator experience preferred; u2022 Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision; u2022 Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy; u2022 Must be able to read and use tape measure; u2022 Strong attention to detail with ability to inspect rail using measuring devices; u2022 Must be quality oriented and a team player; u2022 Must have complete understanding of safe work practices.
