Working under the guidance of a Licensed Nurse, the CNA plays a key role in delivering comprehensive health services and ensuring patient safety and well-being. Qualifications: + Current CNA certification in good standing. + 1 year of recent experience + Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control. + Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate care. + Strong communication and documentation skills. Key Responsibilities: + Personal Care & Hygiene + Assist patients with bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaving. + Help patients travel to the bathroom and provide support for showers and baths. + Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) + Serve meals and assist with feeding as necessary. + Support ambulation, turning, and positioning of patients. + Provide fresh water and nourishment between meals. + Adjunct Care + Administer enemas, douches, nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths. + Apply restraints as directed. + Monitoring & Documentation + Check vital signs and weight; perform urine testing. + Record and document intake and output in appropriate forms and electronic medical records. + Perform capillary blood glucose monitoring. + Patient Comfort & Support + Transport patients and respond promptly to call lights and requests. + Report observations of patient condition to nursing supervisor. + Provide emotional support and comfort measures. + Compliance & Confidentiality + Complete all required documentation accurately and on time. + Follow hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards. + Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as The Joint Commission standards. + Special Assignments + Provide one-to-one observation, including virtual observation, as required.
