Develop actuarial asset projection models using GGY AXIS actuarial modeling platform to support new regulatory requirements and business initiatives, such as Bermuda reinsurance deal, VM-22, and new product launches. Thoroughly understand asset related requirements for life and retirement companies under different frameworks and provide corresponding modeling solutions. Maintain and enhance existing asset models across various business lines (Variable Annuity, Fixed Annuity, Fixed Index Annuity, Pension Risk Transfer, and Universal Life) under different actuarial frameworks including Principal Based Reserve (PBR), Cash Flow Testing (CFT), and Economic Balance Sheet (EBS). Maintain BAU asset processes on AXIS, Alteryx, Snowflake, and other platforms. Implement new asset features to different asset classes based on internal initiatives and statutory regulation updates. Collaborate with modeling software vendors to enhance platform capabilities based on business needs. Provide comprehensive Asset Liability Management (ALM) cashflow analysis for balance sheet and income statement projections. Investigate abnormal modeling impacts and provide quantitative, causal explanations to senior management through analytical tools/software such as MS SQL Studio and Power BI. Improve and maintain the companyu2019s economic scenario generator (ESG) for different modeling frameworks through financial engineering techniques. Generate different interest rates, equity, user-defined (SOFR, Corp Bond, US Large Cap, and Vol-Controlled Funds) markets through VBA for different deterministic and stochastic scenarios based on requirements. Constantly revise and update the mathematical logic for different markets to better align with regulations and provide more accuracy. Provide and implement solutions to actuarial modernization through automation and other programming techniques, such as data compression. Leverage Python, MicroStrategy, Snowflake and other languages/software to eliminate manual processes from the pipeline and contribute to better efficiency. Monitor asset modeling activities across strategic initiatives and business-as-usual (BAU) operations, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables. Regularly communicate with team members to foresee any potential blockers and economic impacts, providing proactive feedback to senior management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including testing, production, model owners, consulting, and project management, to align asset model changes. Provide necessary hotfixes during production cycles to ensure timely, high-quality financial deliverables.
