At 50% time or greater, the position is benefits eligible. At 75% time or greater, the University contributes toward the cost of your medical and dental benefits and the faculty retirement plan. The appointment will start January 5, 2026. Salary Range: $51,000-$55,000 Duties & Responsibilities: 1) Teaching courses based on approved course curriculum in consultation with the department head; 2) developing assessment measures (i.e., exams, quizzes, presentations, papers); 3) providing students with grade status throughout the term; 4) providing academic advising to undergraduate and graduate students; 5) attending bi-weekly and graduate faculty meetings; 6) holding weekly office hours; and 7) providing clinical and research supervision, as assigned, to master's level students. Instructors will be evaluated by students and faculty. Possible undergraduate courses include: Marriage and Family Worldwide; Internship in Psychology; Theories of Personality; Discipline and Profession; Applied Behavioral Analysis; Foundations in Clinical Psychology; Developmental Psychology; General Psychology; Gender in Society. Possible graduate courses include: Multicultural Foundations in Clinical Counseling Psychology; Child/Adolescent and Family Therapy; Ethical and Legal Issues in Therapy and Counseling; Career and Lifestyle Development; Advanced Statistics Qualifications Required Qualifications: Doctoral degree in counseling psychology or clinical psychology or related field awarded by time of appointment from a regionally accredited institution or ABD (all but dissertation) in counseling psychology or clinical psychology or related field from a regionally accredited institution and experience working effectively in educational and clinical settings. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in counseling psychology or clinical psychology or related field awarded by time of appointment from a regionally accredited institution Training or coursework relevant to teaching Multicultural Foundations in Clinical Counseling Psychology; Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapy; and/or Career and Lifestyle Development at the graduate level Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level (could include Teaching Assistant experience) Experience providing supervision to students in applied/clinical settings and/or mentoring students with empirical research projects Evidence of effective teaching Evidence scholarship in the field of psychology Strong written and oral communication skills Commitment to fostering discourse from a wide range of viewpoints Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $51,000-$55,000 annually; depending on education/qualifications/experience Time Appointment: 100% Appointment Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff Please visit the Office of Human Resources website for more information regarding benefit eligibility.
