Learn more about Employee Benefits ( _Note: Eligibility for benefits may vary by location._ Job Summary and Qualifications As Executive Director of Supply Chain, you will lead daily operations across designated Mercy Communities, acting as the key liaison between the Consolidated Service Center and local hospitals. Youu2019ll drive process improvement initiatives aligned with Unified Supply Chain goals, integrating supply chain services with core hospital functions. This role involves policy implementation, performance assessment, and team development, while collaborating closely with ROi Senior Leadership, Mercy Strategic Supply Chain, and facility leaders. Your work will reflect the mission, values, and service standards of Mercy Health and HealthTrust. What you will do in this role: + u200bLead all areas of supply chain within specific communities to include procurement, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory management, courier services, record storage & retrieval as well as equipment management. + Acts as a liaison to the ambulatory clinics and inpatient facilities with respect to supply chain management. + Ensures supply chain activities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for quality, service, and cost. + Communicates and implements goals and objectives for operations of reporting. + Manages sourcing and contracting initiatives from conception to completion; leveraging various internal and external contacts to ensure effective financial stewardship and responsive customer service. + Collaborates and develops strong working relationships with various department leaders, physician leaders, other clinicians, hospital senior management, and supply chain staff to create healthy markets and competitive sourcing environment. + u200bu200bu200bLeads u201ctime-limited/subject focusedu201d teams and standing teams to identify opportunities to source and implement effective strategic sourcing and contracting strategies for major categories of Mercy Health spend. + u200bu200bu200bIdentifies and develops cost reduction ideas and initiatives, including alternative strategies for implementation consideration. + u200bu200bu200bEngages suppliers and operational staff to ensure timely resolution of any service and delivery issues. + u200bu200bAssembles and presents business cases to include data analysis, supplier capabilities/differentiation, market data and business requirements. + u200bu200bu200bMeasures and monitors contract compliance and pending savings opportunities, supplier performance per contract service level agreements and realized cost savings. Reports on statistics to department leaders and senior leaders of the Mercy Community. + u200bu200bu200bParticipates in value analysis teams, stakeholders and department meetings representing the department, conveying the philosophy, and demonstrating the principles of supply chain management to user departments. + Acts as a resource to departments and staff regarding contractual agreements with suppliers. + u200bu200bu200bAnalyzes processes, recommends internal improvements, and assists in reviews of procurement policies and procedures. + Adheres to the Mercy Health Code of Conduct and Ethics Standard, displaying, as applicable, ethical behavior in the areas of business ethics, legal compliance, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, vendor relationships and the reporting of questionable activities. + Execute the infrastructure project plan for the facility. This includes the implementation of the standardization programs for all supply chain functions, master file standardization, online requisitioning, and EDI. + Manage the profit and loss of the facility Supply Chain operations. + Manage disaster supplies and processes, ensuring facility/facilities are prepared for disasters. + Facilitate the implementation of market-based purchasing projects at the facility. + Execute the implementation and operational plan for all the point of use systems + Oversight of Inventory Optimization Managers Qualifications: + Bachelor's degreeu200b u200b preferably in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, healthcare related focus, required; Masters degree preferred.u200b + 10+ years of healthcare supply chain management experience + 7+ years experience in a leadership role. + u200bu200bPossess external knowledge of healthcare group purchasing market influences, required. + u200bu200bUnderstand efficient and current supply chain trends within the healthcare industry, required. + Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) preferredu200b HealthTrust Supply Chain ( is a critical part of HCA Healthcareu2019s strategy.
