Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES + Perform COMSEC changeover, equipment check, pick-up, issue, and destruction. + Manage Type-1 bulk encryption and comply with COMSEC handling procedures. + Store, handle, operate, and destroy key materials according to established protocols. + Ensure compliance with DoDI 5220, NISPOM, and local SOPs for COMSEC handling. + Maintain physical possession and continuous attendance of COMSEC material. + Safeguard and transport classified information and material as required. + Maintain two-person COMSEC integrity when handling equipment and devices. + Ensure proper identification and destruction of scheduled KEYMAT canisters. + Conduct inventory of all KEYMAT prior to storage container re-locking. + Notify designated government personnel of any discrepancies or security violations.
