Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities u2022 Processes material requisitions, completes purchase orders, and forwards to supervisor for approval following departmental procedures. u2022 Expedites purchase orders, securing required delivery dates and quantities. u2022 Interviews vendors and investigates sources of supply consistent with lowest cost and acceptable quality standards. u2022 Maintains good relationships with all vendor companies and their representatives. u2022 Negotiates with appropriate vendors for the return and/or replacement of rejected materials. u2022 Becomes familiar with the material usage requirements for subsidiary operations. Assures that vendors are advised of pertinent information. u2022 Becomes familiar with applicable federal and state regulations, federal priority regulations, and other rules affecting purchases. Properly applies such information in performance of job responsibilities. u2022 Completes paperwork as required including price change report, debit memos, and freight claim forms. u2022 Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies. Who we are looking for u2022 Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. u2022 Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills. u2022 Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. u2022 Willingness to learn and take initiative.
