Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Reston, Virginia. Being a part of our construction contractor industry, you'll play a crucial role in handling the full cycle of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. Responsibilities: u2022 Execute account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain the accuracy of financial records. u2022 Manage and update the general ledger regularly. u2022 Prepare journal entries and ensure they are accurately recorded in the financial system. u2022 Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting. u2022 Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately captured. u2022 Operate property management software such as Yardi and MRI for efficient accounting processes. u2022 Handle Cam Reconciliation to ensure accurate allocation of common area maintenance costs. Requirements u2022 Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry u2022 Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations u2022 Extensive experience in maintaining and updating the general ledger u2022 Skilled in creating and managing journal entries u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis u2022 Experience in month end close procedures u2022 Familiarity with Yardi and MRI software systems u2022 Proficient in Cam Reconciliation u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred u2022 CPA certification is a plus Please reach out to Mahil Santram via LinkedIn if your skillset matches this Senior Accountant role.
