Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will manage essential financial processes related to accounts payable and ensure accurate record-keeping. This is a long-term contract position with opportunities to contribute to an environmentally focused organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and audit invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. u2022 Maintain and update accounts payable records to ensure timely payments. u2022 Perform data entry tasks to record financial transactions and reconcile expenses. u2022 Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies with professionalism. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. u2022 Monitor accounts payable processes to identify and address any issues. u2022 Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable activities. u2022 Ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational guidelines for expense management. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing procedures for accounts payable. u2022 Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Requirements u2022 At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in data entry and expense reconciliation. u2022 Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes. u2022 Excellent customer service skills for vendor and stakeholder communication. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software and systems. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. u2022 Solid understanding of accounts payable principles and best practices. u2022 Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
