Come join our teamShift: Monday-Friday 4pm-6amLube Technicians are responsible for performing preventive maintenance on vehicle fleet including but not limited to performing minor repairs, adjustments to various operating systems on vehicles, equipment, or related components.Responsibilities of Position:Perform preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policiesInspect, lubricate, and service all fleet vehicles per company maintenance schedulesGrease, oil and lubricate components during preventive maintenance serviceCheck, fill, and/or change appropriate fluids and filters for all fleet vehiclesInspect vehicle support systems, such as electrical, air, and brake systemsPerform minor repairs and adjustments to various operating systems on the vehicles, equipment, or related componentsAssist senior experienced technicians with repairs, maintenance assignments, and adjustmentsIdentify and repair or report worn or failed components, leaks, etc.Perform routine housekeeping duties related tools, materials, shop, and work areasPerform required administrative duties when necessary, such as cycle counts, parts requisitions, warranties, etc.Ensure all safety devices on vehicles are in good working orderAssist in other areas of the vehicle maintenance shop as neededMaintain accurate records (time, maintenance orders and parts usage) on computer/tabletPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility:This position will not manage employeesSkills & Abilities Needed for Position:Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repairFamiliarity with the use of computers, repair manuals, wiring (electrical) diagrams and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failureAbility to safely drive vehicles in and out of service areaGood written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customersMust possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasksExperience & Knowledge Needed for Position:1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and related components is preferredExperience with diesel powered vehicles preferredGeneral knowledge of truck components and systemsKnowledge and understanding of Lock/Tag Out procedures or the ability the learn those proceduresPhysical Requirements in a Regular Workday:Frequently lifting/carrying a max of 20 lbsOccasionally lifting/carrying a max of 75 lbsRarely lifting/carrying a max of 100 lbsFrequently pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbsRarely pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbsFrequently working outsideContinuously working in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditionsContinuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matterFrequently stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawlingOccasionally climbing and/or balancingRarely sittingContinuously standing/walkingAdditional Working Conditions/Aspects:Possible exposure
