Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, temp-to-hire opportunity for a Lab Technician in Huntsville, AL Shift: Sunday-Wednesday, 7am-5pm OR Thursday-Sunday 7am-5pm Pay Range: $18-$20/hour DOE 6-month Temp to Hire Opportunity Duties and Responsibilities: + Utilize test equipment and instrumentation to perform various tests and qualifications of various products to ensure that specifications are met + Perform quality control testing + Utilize test equipment and instrumentation to qualify raw material, in-process material, and finished powder for use in production + Complete testing on R & D materials and projects + Perform tests under strict procedure and guidelines and maintains test data + Perform other reasonable and related duties as assigned Equipment Used: A wide variety of testing equipment and instrumentation including: + Analytical balances + Microscope imaging systems, AA, XRF and DCP spectrometers + Sedigraph and Malvern Particle distribution analyzers + Physical testing apparatus. + Carbon, Sulfur, Oxygen and Nitrogen analysis instrumentation. + Microwave Digestion system + Computer to include network and instrumentation software systems. Skills/Knowledge Required: + High School diploma or GED with high school chemistry and algebra; college chemistry or physical science and algebra preferred + Minimum of 1 year experience working in an industrial lab environment strongly preferred.
