Description This position is 20 hours a week and pays between $20.00 and $25.00 an hour. The schedule is onsite Tuesday-Friday from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Key Responsibilities: u00b7 Process all incoming and outgoing shipments, including mass shipments, individual packages, and mail. u00b7 Serve as the lead administrator for UPS Worldship, DHL, CampusShip, USPS, and other shipping platforms. u00b7 Identify and properly process battery shipments and other dangerous goods. u00b7 Coordinate and receive daily dock deliveries. u00b7 Sort and notify team members of packages and mail daily. u00b7 Maintain positive relationships with shipping brokers and engage them to resolve shipping issues. u00b7 Provide tracking and pricing estimates via email or phone and follow up with team members or customers. u00b7 Analyze and plan shipment costs; troubleshoot shipping issues as needed. u00b7 Maintain postage meter and purchase stamps as required. u00b7 Ensure adequate inventory of shipping materials at all times. u00b7 Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. u00b7 Provide backup support for the Office Manager and reception desk as needed. u00b7 Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: u00b7 Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in a shipping or logistics role. u00b7 Strong written and verbal communication skills. u00b7 Excellent organizational and time management abilities; capable of managing multiple priorities. u00b7 Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills. u00b7 Knowledge of shipping lithium-ion batteries and other hazardous materials. u00b7 Familiarity with Incoterms and Schedule B codes. u00b7 IATA and DOT training preferred. u00b7 Ability to interpret packing slips, enter data into systems, and acknowledge receipt of goods. u00b7 Experience completing bills of lading and commercial invoices. u00b7 Understanding of international shipping practices and documentation. Physical Requirements: u00b7 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, and move about the facility as needed.
