If you’re excited to work alongside industry leaders, tackle complex challenges, and help build smarter, stronger communities, we invite you to bring your skills and passion to our Drinking Water Team.What You'll Be DoingAs a valuable part of our Drinking Water Team, a Senior Hydrogeologist will serve as a top technical leader across Tighe & Bond's multidisciplinary practice areas with responsibilities such as:Provide technical leadership, innovation, and strategic direction on complex, multidisciplinary projectsServe as a “go-to” technical expert across multiple practice areas, addressing the firm’s most challenging technical issuesLead hydrogeologic services including feasibility assessments, siting of bedrock and stratified drift wells, groundwater withdrawal permitting, and evaluating and designing groundwater recharge systemsOversee the design and rehabilitation of public water supply wells, including pump testing to determine well yield and aquifer characteristicsModel groundwater hydrology with a focus on contaminant source assessment, fate and transport, mounding analyses, and delineating recharge areasActively participate, and provide leadership, in Tighe & Bond’s Communities of Practice programHelp develop technical standards, processes, and tools that strengthen the firm’s capabilitiesConduct quality control (QC) reviews on complex project deliverables and occasional quality assurance (QA) reviewSupport strategic business efforts such as marketing plans, client pursuit strategies, and staff hiring and retention planningLead technical focus areas in business development, including proposal writing and presentationsPublish technical papers, leading at least two external forums or presentations annually, and stay engaged in professional organizationsPromote Tighe & Bond’s expertise through thought leadership, content marketing, and multimediaMentor junior and mid-level staff to grow the next generation of hydrogeologic expertsSpearhead at least two technical initiatives each year aimed at advancing internal practices or innovationsWhat You'll NeedBachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldLicensed Professional Geologist (PG) or Certificate as neededSubstantial years of experience designing, permitting, and evaluating groundwater systems for drinking water and wastewater rechargeDemonstrated experience working in the northeast U.S., with knowledge of local and state water regulations and permittingProven technical leadership across complex projects, with a track record of solving difficult hydrogeologic challengesStrong communication skills with experience delivering technical and client-facing presentationsBackground in managing proposals, client development, and strategic positioningMembership in at least two relevant professional organizationsA collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvementPreferred RequirementsMaster’s degree in Hydrogeology or a relevant fieldFamiliarity with New England and New York water regulations, permitting processes, and funding opportunitiesExperience leading strategic practice initiatives at a regional or firmwide levelDemonstrated record of presenting at industry conferences, publishing technical papers and actively contributing to professional boards and committeesYour Financial and Wellness BenefitsCompensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the salary range belowAnnual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership PlanBest in Class Medical InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceWellness Rewards and ReimbursementsTuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown ContributionsReimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and FeesSummer Fridays Flextime and Hybrid Work EnvironmentPet Insurance and Adoption AssistanceWays to Grow Your CareerWe provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
