Job Description The Mount Sinai Physiolab is looking for an individual with a strong background in nutrition and exercise physiology who is interested in both research and clinical work to fill an immediately available full-time position. This is a unique position in which there is no u201ctypical dayu201d, and the candidate will be involved in a wide variety of projects. As the Mount Sinai Associate Researcher, Physiolab Manager, you will lead a team of registered dietitians and exercise physiologists to provide high quality nutrition counseling, dietary assessments and cutting-edge metabolic assessments to a diverse patient group. As manager of the lab, you will support the labu2019s functions, improve efficiency and streamline processes as the lab continues to grow under the Direction of Dr. Ryan Walker. As manager, you will oversee day-to-day functioning of the lab including scheduling, financial management and supply procurement. You will also conduct nutrition and lifestyle counseling, utilize gold-standard equipment and resources to administer metabolic and physiological testing. The Physiolab Manager will be expected to lead efforts to enhance collaborations and partnerships in pursuit of lab promotion and growth in the NY area. The Physiolab Manager will also have the potential to become involved in clinical research, led by Dr. Walker, and other clinical research projects conducted at the Human Metabolism and Physiology Lab (HMPL); a core lab within the Translational Research Core at the NIH-funded NY Diabetes Research Center.
