DUTIES: Responsible for the secondary library, overseeing the acquisition, organization, and accessibility of resources in French for the entire school community including students, faculty, and parents, while ensuring that the collection aligns with both the French curriculum and the needs of a bilingual learning environment. Teach media literacy and research skills to students from 6th to 12th grade, helping them develop critical thinking and academic integrity through the use of digital and print resources. This involves guiding them in research methodologies, database navigation, citation tools, and information literacy adapted to their level. Beyond library management and teaching, collaborate on cultural and literary projects, organizing reading challenges, book clubs, and interdisciplinary initiatives in coordination with teachers. Develop a partnership with the New York Public Library, offering students valuable exposure to research methodologies that bridge the gap between high school and university-level expectations. Design and implement lessons that align with the Ministu00e8re de l'u00c9ducation nationale's expectations, while also assisting teachers in integrating media literacy and research skills into their coursework.REQUIREMENTS: Bacheloru2019s degree in Education, Library Science or a related field or foreign equivalent and three years of progressively responsible experience as a Teacher Librarian or related occupation.
