The ideal candidate will edit video content for news programs, live coverage, breaking news, and other productions and promotions. The Freelance Video Editor will work independently or collaboratively to create visuals and sound that accurately and fairly represent the news, transforming raw footage into polished final products.ResponsibilitiesCreate tagged commercials for cross-channel and broadcast use.Analyze, develop, and recommend solutions for editorial, procedural, and operational needs to ensure high-quality videos are produced for both web and broadcast platforms.Collaborate closely with Lead Editors and Design teams to optimize editorial workflows.Work efficiently within tight deadlines to meet weekly and monthly advertising and non-advertising requirements.Adapt to changing requirements daily to meet the needs of other teams and tools.Create and develop internal and external company communications.Work with a team of editors to achieve team goals effectively.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications5+ years of digital post-production experience, with proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.2+ years of experience working in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines.Strong understanding of digital workflows and file-based delivery.Knowledge of frame rates, aspect ratios, and resolutions.Ability to read video scopes and audio levels.Demonstrated strong editorial judgment.Proven experience editing content for various digital platforms, including non-traditional formats and resolutions.A team player capable of working flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects is a significant plus.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to recruiting, hiring, and promoting qualified individuals of all backgrounds regardless of gender, race, color, creed, national origin, religion, age, marital status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, military or veteran status, or any other protected class under law.The Company collects personal information about applicants for employment, which may include identifiers, employment-related information, photos, education details, and protected classifications under law.
