Description seeking a litigation paralegal with 3 years minimum experience in civil litigation, insurance defense and/or employment matters. The following is a summary of job duties: u2022 Review and analyze file documents (i.e. company or claim files) u2022 Determine and identify relevant information, witnesses, third party documents and information for subpoenas. u2022 Prepare, index and analyze written and paper discovery and prepare litigation and trial binders u2022 Prepare subpoenas, public records requests, and authorizations. u2022 Work with preferred vendors for record retrieval, expert retention, depositions/court reporters, private investigators. u2022 Handle and collaborate on scheduling of depositions, expert exams and client meetings or witness interviews. u2022 Prepare various discovery requests, responses, and summaries of same. u2022 Summarize various records (medical; employment; tax; educational; surveillance, etc.) u2022 Prepare detailed medical chronology and medical billing chart. u2022 Gather relevant documents for attorneyu2019s use in upcoming depositions, meetings, telephone conferences, trial etc. u2022 Westlaw Next research to locate witnesses and obtain background information. u2022 Social media research. u2022 Locate and work with fact and experts witnesses for independent medical examinations, site inspections, trial, depositions etc. u2022 Identify, retain and work with investigators or experts u2022 Prepare trial disclosures; trial notebooks; and exhibits for use at trial. u2022 Bill and enter time. u2022 Handle multiple files, cases and legal projects of various types. u2022 Maintain and follow a diary system for compliance and meeting deadlines.
