Description Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our client's litigation team in Vernon, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury law and a proven ability to manage cases from intake through resolution, including trial if necessary. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage legal cases from initial intake through settlement or trial, ensuring thorough case preparation and client representation. u2022 Handle a mix of Workers' Compensation (approximately 75%) and Personal Injury (25%) cases. u2022 Conduct in-depth legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents to support litigation strategies. u2022 Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, when necessary, to achieve favorable outcomes. u2022 Engage in discovery processes, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review. u2022 Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes. u2022 Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case progress and communications. u2022 Stay informed about relevant legal precedents, statutes, and regulations to provide effective counsel. u2022 Participate in local and statewide bar association events to enhance development and networking. u2022 Uphold high standards of integrity and communication in all client and colleague interactions.Robert Half Requirements u2022 Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. u2022 Active license to practice law in the state of Connecticut. u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury law. u2022 Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures. u2022 Proven ability to draft motions, briefs, and other legal documentation with precision. u2022 Experience with discovery, including depositions and document review. u2022 Excellent research, analytical, and argumentation skills. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
