Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This role is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in financial management and accounting operations. The successful candidate will be the sole contributor overseeing essential accounting functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Oversee the general ledger and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions. u2022 Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards. u2022 Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to all financial regulations. u2022 Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Weekly accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring smooth operations. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks and Paycor to manage accounting tasks and streamline workflows. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining detailed records. u2022 Conduct tuition and accounts receivable tracking and reporting. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to ensure proper balancing of financial accounts. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounting management or a similar role. u2022 Expertise in month-end close procedures and general ledger management. u2022 Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and audit processes. u2022 Proficiency with QuickBooks and Paycor software. u2022 Skilled in account reconciliations and journal entry preparation. u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
