Inventory Control Clerks needed in Melrose Park, Illinois 2 nd Shift: $21/hr Does include working Saturday and/or Sunday PURPOSE: To verify store order case counts, research and report discrepancies, and recap audit results for weekly reports. To perform cycle counts in home slot locations and reserves. Must Haves: + Must be able to work Saturdays and/or Sundays + Strong data entry experience using Microsoft Excel + WMS experience highly preferred + Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and / or cold storage environment. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Accountable and Reports to: Inventory Control Supervisor/ Inventory Control Manager PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: u00b7 Verify total case count and specific items, assembled by warehouse assemblers to store invoice u00b7 Reconciles physical and financial inventories u00b7 Report discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor u00b7 Recap audit results for weekly reporting u00b7 Compares and reconciles physical inventory cycle counts to those maintained in the inventory system u00b7 Completes appropriate research to determine cause as to why pallets cannot be slotted by the inventory system u00b7 Completes necessary system maintenance to ensure accurate inventory accountability u00b7 Completes warehouse case maintenance, i.e. physically measuring case dimensions, verifying slot heights and performing necessary computer entries u00b7 Makes entries for store returns and printing of various warehouse related reports SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB: u00b7 Possess ability to work with minimum supervision, good organizational skills and attention to detail u00b7 Possess good math skills, figure aptitude and 10-key calculator skills u00b7 Possess good oral and written communication skills, both with co-workers and over the telephone with outside and company personnel u00b7 Stamina for working in a warehouse environment u00b7 Temperatures in the warehouse vary between -5 to 70 degrees. Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable tolerance ranges for those specific work areas. Ear plugs are available upon request. u00b7 Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions. Potential hazards exist with regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc. Work environment is hectic and fast paced. WORKING CONDITIONS: u00b7 Work is performed in varying conditions; warehouse environment, warehouse temperatures ranging from -20 degrees through ambient outside temperatures over 80 degrees and temperature controlled office environment u00b7 Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
