Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description The candidate is responsible for building strong, aesthetically pleasing panel crates used to ship ACM formed panels. The position involves constructing custom-sized crates from nominal-sized lumber using tools such as chop saws, nail guns, screw guns, clamps, foam, and caulk. The candidate will measure custom panels per specified order to determine the appropriate size of the crate and necessary internal supports to ensure panels are packed neatly with glued foam and wood protection. Each crate must have a specific panel number label visible from the outside and not placed behind the wood frame. Additionally, the candidate will ensure each order is specific to the crate containing only panels on the work order. Responsibilities + Ensure the department operates in compliance with all OSHA and UL Standards and Fire Code Regulations. + Ensure all hazardous materials are kept in accordance with EPA Standards. + Follow all corporate safety procedures for personnel and equipment within the department. + Maintain all plant and equipment properly and log all maintenance activities. + Handle the finished product to prevent damage. + Proficiently read and interpret shop drawings. + Possess basic carpentry skills to build/fabricate shipping crates and containers. + Operate forklifts to safely load/unload trucks and handle materials. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned by a Lead or Supervisor. Essential Skills + Minimum of 3 years of shipping experience. + Proficiency in reading a tape measure. + Experience with inventory control, shop drawing interpretation, and power tools. + Crate building, general labor, general production, carpentry, and machine operation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma required. + Experience in a warehouse environment. + Fork truck certification is a must. + Good communication and interpersonal skills, collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving, and time management. + Must wear provided PPE per safety regulations.
