This group will provide virtual wraparound services to support patients when they cannot get in with their own PCP u2013 closing gaps in care, ensuring timeless access to important medications and solving urgent clinical needs. This Virtual Physician Collaborator shares in our vision to innovate on primary care for the next generation of seniors and is eager to support excellent care each and every day We will be serving patients in Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, and we are looking for an MD/DO who practices in one or more of these states. This role will focus on the collaborative relationship through the support of physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses for approximately 3 hours/month. This role is paid hourly and will focus on the collaborative relationship through the support of physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses for approximately 5 hours/month. Responsibilities: u00b7 Act as a collaborating physician for nurse practitioners or physician assistants, including completing regular chart review and coordinating monthly meetings. u00b7 Be available to act as a resource for the advanced practice provider to ensure exceptional patient care. u00b7 Follow policy and protocol defined by Clinical Leadership. u00b7 Meet with clinic leaders about quality of care, review of outcome data, policy, procedure, and records issues. u00b7 Assure personal compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting bodies. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications: u00b7 Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of LA, NC, SC, or GA, prior to the start of employment. If licensed in SC or GA, must also practice physically within the state. u00b7 Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university u00b7 Board certification or eligible to become certified (ABMS or AOA) in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine u00b7 Active and unrestricted DEA license u00b7 Medicare Provider Number u00b7 Medicaid Provider Number u00b7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u00b7 Superior patient/customer service skills u00b7 Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationships and communications with colleagues/patients u00b7 Strong computer proficiency, including responding to emails and navigating EMR interfaces u00b7 Expertise with web-side manner and willing to take a sponsored CME course on web-side manner, as needed Preferred Qualifications: u00b7 Fully on board with the concept of virtual primary care and has 2+ years with engaging in patient-facing telemedicine/telehealth u00b7 Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage u00b7 Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators u00b7 Experience working in value-based care settings u00b7 Experience working as a collaborating physician u00b7 Telehealth experience Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 1 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
